The language is crisp and perfectly tuned for reading aloud, each line moving with the bounce and timing young listeners love, and brilliant mishaps that ultimately show how different personalities can share the same space. The illustrations by Sian Moore are fantastic in a beautifully muted cartoon style, and my daughter loved that the coop resembled a real house and pointed out new details every time we read it. Overall, this is a wonderful reminder that harmony often begins with a bit of chaos.

My kids love the Chicken Coop Chaos series. These books are great read alouds with fun characters, silly noises, and a good lesson. And the Christmas edition did not disappoint! This will definitely be added to my gift list for all kids this Christmas!
