Valeria Shapovalova is the BiblioKid illustrator of SNARLY CARLY. She is a freelance illustrator from Kyiv, Ukraine and based in Madrid, Spain. Since childhood, drawing has always been her best communication tool. She studied Graphic Design which helped her find her way to illustration. After experimenting and exploring a lot she found herself in children’s illustration and continues to develop her skills in this discipline.
She enjoys creating cute characters and their environments with details and side stories. In addition to children’s books, her illustrations can be found in corporate advertising worldwide. In her free time she enjoys taking long walks and taking photos of all the little details she can find, such as tiny leaves, funny rocks, little birds, or bugs. She is a mountain and music lover who enjoys spending time with her family.
